Huber Heights To Close Swimming Pool (WHIO-TV 7 Dayton)
The city manager of Huber Heights announced on Monday night that the city will permanently close the municipal pool that is located on Fishburg Road at Monita Park.

Ariana Kukors Sets Record - First Night of 2010 Austin Grand Prix Swim Meet - Natalie Coughlin Third in 100 Fly
Ariana Kukors set a pool record Thursday on the first day of competition at the 2010 Austin Grand Prix Swim Meet. Kukors broke Tracy Caulkins' pool record in the 200m IM with a time of 2:10.34. The 2010 Austin Grand Prix Swim Meet, taking place at the University of Texas at Austin, runs through Saturday, March 6.

La Cañada’s Katy Campbell is back this year, along with a bunch of last year’s CIF runner-up squad. “We’re hoping to go best time in CIF, but that’s huge,” Campbell said, stopping short of saying they’re going to win. “We want to win CIF, but I don’t want to jinx it.”

Dana Vollmer Wins Double Gold as the 2010 Austin Grand Prix Swim Meet Concludes
Dana Vollmer had a strong night in the pool Saturday, taking home two gold medals on the final night of competition at the 2010 Austin Grand Prix Swim Meet. Vollmer won both the 200m fly and 100m free, an event in which she also set a pool record. Olympic gold medalist Rebecca Soni also broke a pool record with her swim in the 200m breast.

The 2010 USA Swimming Grand Prix Swim Meet Series continues April 1-3 with the 2010 Columbus Grand Prix in Columbus, Ohio, which is the third stop of the eight-meet series. The winner of the Series will be awarded $20,000 at the final Grand Prix Swim Meet held in Los Angeles, July 8-11.

Olympians Matt Grevers, Rebecca Soni Set Records on Day 2 of 2010 Austin Grand Prix Swim Meet
Two pool records were broken Friday on the second night of competition at the 2010 Austin Grand Prix Swim Meet. Matt Grevers broke the pool record in the men's 100m back with a time of 53.05 while Rebecca Soni set the pool record in the women's 100m breast with a time of 1:06.43. The 2010 Austin Grand Prix Swim Meet, taking place at the University of Texas at Austin, concludes Saturday, March 6.
