USA Swimming 2009-2010 Grand Prix Swim Meet Series Starts in Minneapolis on 13 November
The 2009-2010 USA Swimming Grand Prix Swim Meet Series will kick off in Minneapolis on November 13 and will feature a total of eight swim meets throughout the USA, an increase of two swim meets from the 2008-2009 Grand Prix Series. The top swimmers in the USA will be back in the pool competing for a $20,000 Grand Prix Swim Meet prize purse that will be awarded to the swimmer with the most points at the conclusion of the 2009-2010 Grand Prix Swim Meet Series.

USA Swimming Foundation Announces Nominees for the 2009 Golden Goggle Awards

The USA Swimming Foundation has released the nominations for the Golden Goggle Awards, a star-studded awards gala celebrating the accomplishments of top American swimmers in 2009. The event will take place Sunday, November 22 at the Beverly Hilton and will feature the 2009 U.S. World Championships swim team, including Michael Phelps, Rebecca Soni, Ryan Lochte, Dara Torres, Ariana Kukors and Dana Vollmer.

Decomposing Body Found In Redwood City Swimming Pool (FOX 11 Reno)
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- A decomposing body was found Thursday in a Redwood City public swimming pool that had been covered since July, police said. A maintenance work found the body after lifting a portion of the cover of the Hoover Park swimming pool, according to police.
