Country-wide ban for Carlisle man who performed sex act at swimming pool (The News and Star)
A man who performed a sex act in front of children at a Carlisle swimming pool has been banned from every pool and leisure club in the country and warned he could go to prison.

Kickboards, Pull-buoys, and Hand Paddles for Swimmers

Rounding out swim training by using hand paddles, pull-buoys and kickboards is a part of many swimmer's daily workout routine. While some athletes own their equipment, many other swimmers use whatever is at the pool. It might be a generic kick board or one designed for a particular purpose. Maybe they use a one piece pull-buoy and rectangular paddles. All of these will serve the intended purpose, but if you are going to buy your own, be sure to look at what is available on the market. Get the type or style that will work for you.

Soni Sets Meet Record on Final Night of the 2009 AT&T USA Swimming Short Course National Championships
The swimming action at the 2009 AT&T USA Swimming Short Course National Championships came to a close Saturday night, with strong swims by Rebecca Soni and Nathan Adrian. Soni set a national swim meet record in the 200y breast while Adrian took home a win in the men's 100y free as the meet concluded. The swim meet will be broadcast as a one-hour special on NBC next Saturday, December 12 from 2 - 3 p.m. ET.
