When you purchase debris baskets for pool pumps, there are several things that you need to know.

First, you need to be aware of the size of the entry hole for the water to go into the pump. The basket needs to fit snuggly into this area so that no debris can float into the pump and burn it out. Due to this, you will need to make certain that your measurements are as exact as possible.

Second, you need to make certain the basket is compatible with your pump, regardless of whether they are Astral pool pumps or Pentair Pinnacle pool pumps.

Once you have purchased debris baskets for pool pumps, there are several things that you will need to do in order to ensure that your pump will last as long as possible. First, you will need to make certain that you check the basket on a daily basis in order to make certain that it does not get clogged and block water flow to the pump.

While debris floating into the pool pump can cause problems, the lack of water floating to the pump can also cause it to burn out. The basket should be removed and have all of the leaves and other obtrusions cleared out so water can flow freely. In addition to having the basket installed, you should still continue to net out leaves and other floating debris to prevent it from clogging the basket.

With the proper care, you should be able to prevent your pumps from being affected by debris while making it a little easier to remove leaves and other unwanted items from your pool.
