WaterFurnace International today announced that it has entered into a joint venture with Aqua Comfort Technologies to build state of the art above ground pool heaters for sale in North America.
WaterFurnace CEO, Bruce Ritchey announced, "We are very excited about this venture. WFI Industries Ltd. Chairman, James R. Shields noted, "The heat pump pool heater industry has been growing at 20% per year. The market is served by many small manufacturers. Production of the new inground and above ground pool heaters will begin in February, 2004 in the WaterFurnace plant in Fort Wayne. WaterFurnace invested in research and development along with tooling and manufacturing equipment over the past 12 months to design the new product. The new product will lead the industry in efficiency and heating capacity. It will feature a computerized logic and control system developed by WaterFurnace that will provide a platform for features and benefits that will offer the consumer and servicer many advantages over systems available today.
